#MTOS – 13th September 2015 Hosted by Scott Ballantyne (@Moosedog23)

Hello #MTOS universe!

I wanted to try something a little different for my #MTOS hosting, and so in a twist to the normal format, I will be giving the answers and anyone taking part has to supply the questions.

I welcome you to MTOS Jeopardy.

I’m hoping that we’ll have some funny responses and some serious responses but most importantly, I’m hoping (and praying) that we’ll have some fun!

Some of the answers are purposely vague, in the hope that they will allow a huge range of questions…

Remember though, that on this occasion to reply with Q1 etc... rather than the traditional A1 etc… and don’t forget the hashtag #MTOS and follow me @Moosedog23 to take part.

Anyway, enough of my rambling… Here are the answers.

A1. Nobody Does It Better

A2. Tom Cruise

A3. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

A4. James Cameron

A5. The greatest film of all time

A6. The best titled film

A7. The worst ‘Best Picture’ Oscar winner

A8. The films of Paul W.S. Anderson

A9. George Lucas

A10. The most anticipated film of 2016

#MTOS Sunday 26 July – Awesome Mix Vol. 1 hosted by @Gordondon

#MTOS is about bringing film fans together to debate, discuss and dissect those wonderful 24 frames per second.

One question relating to the week's topic will be tweeted every 10 minutes starting at 20:00 UK Time. All the questions and subsequent answers/discussions, by you, should simply be followed by the hash-tag #MTOS.

Example: A1 - Jaws #MTOS

Sunday 26 July – Awesome Mix Vol. 1

Mix tapes are cool and everybody loves them. Imagine you were compiling a cinematic mix tape comprising of all things film, you’d have to consider what film to open it with, which poster is the cover of the mix tape, what you would call it, so many decisions to make.

To help you compile your masterpiece, here are the 10 questions:

Q1 - What film do you open it with and why?

Q2 - You put dialogue between the tracks, which quote would you use?

Q3 - The segue between tracks is important, which double feature do you include?

Q4 - You have to end side 1 on a high, what’s your go to feel good film?

Q5 - We all like to include a guilty pleasure, which film is yours?

Q6 - The cover of a mix tape is very important, which film poster do you use as the cover?

Q7 - Which film do you include to entice a potential partner?

Q8 - It’s good to add a sad song into the mix, which film makes you cry no matter how many times you have seen it?

Q9 - The final track has to be your favourite film of all time, what do you choose?

Q10 - You have finished compiling your cinematic mix tape, what’s it called?

Looking forward to seeing your answers.

#MTOS HOSTING SPOTS - JANUARY TO APRIL

Hello and welcome to another round of #MTOS Hosting for the months of JANUARY, FEBRUARY, MARHC, and APRIL 2014.

By now most of the people who will be applying for the host positions know how to go about it, so we shall keep it short and sweet;

As a host you will be required to;

1. HAVE TO HAVE WATCHED THE COMPLETE TWILIGHT SAGA AND MUST HAVE INTRICATE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT IT.

2. You will be required to disregard us whenever we ask you to do something you don't really want to do because it can be considered mentally disturbing (See point 1).

3. You will however, be required to decide on a topic to hold the #MTOS Chat which takes place on every Sunday at 20:00 UK Time.

4. You shall then come up with 10 Questions for the chosen topic and have them out on your blog (or you can use our blog if you don't have one of your own) on the Tuesday before the Sunday of your particular chat

5. Once you have the questions ready and posted on a blog, we along with you will promote the same.

6. On the Sunday that you have chosen to host #MTOS, you will be required to post one question at an interval of every 10 minutes starting at sharp 20:00 UK Time

7. As always, please make sure all the questions have a Question Number and that you tweet the questions and your replies with the hashtag #MTOS

Now, getting down to business, we have had tremendous interest for the hosting duties of #MTOS. To make things a little simpler this is how you can sign-up for being a host from the start of JANUARY till the end of APRIL 2014;

The good news is that we are going to start repeating topics and hosts, so if you want to host a topic we might have had before or you have hosted before, GO FOR IT! (Although if you do have a new theme, we would appreciate that)

Below, I have mentioned all the dates that are available for hosting in the said months. Please remember that all dates lie on a Sunday and #MTOS begins at 20:00 UK TIME

All you have to do in order to host is comment below with your preferential date, your theme/topic, and your twitter handle. There are a total of 17 spots that are available.

IMPORTANT: Please read the following points carefully before commenting below;

Please, before commenting, read all the comments to make sure you are not duplicating a date that has already been taken. If you do duplicate, we cannot guarantee you a spot at a later date.

Kindly select only one date. If you are unsure, select a later or earlier date. If you mention two dates in your post, once again we will be unable to guarantee you a spot on either of the dates.

Also, please try and make sure that your theme/topic has not been taken before. If you do select a theme and want to change it later, you may do so. If you are unsure, simply state the Theme as "To Be Decided" for now.

Lastly, please make sure that your comment is showing in the comment box, by refreshing the page.

All this might seem a tad complicated, but we felt it would be the fairest way to go about selecting the hosts.

The way #MTOS is going, I am sure we will continue to have the event for a long time, so please if you do not get a spot this time, you will surely have a better chance in the next round of bookings that we plan to open in August. Also you can always place yourself on standby for cancellations by letting @askimrach know.
